| Ferienobjektbeschreibung: | Il Piccolo Nido is in the village of Sant'Eustachio (Montignoso Municipality), on the slopes of the Apuan Alps, approx. 300 m above sea level. The house has nothing in front of it but the view of the sea and the coastline, the hills below and sunshine. The house being far from the main road is quiet and silent. It has a total of four rooms, three on the ground floor and one, the sleeping room, on the first floor. It is about 55 m2 in size. The entrance is in the living room, a sunny room with the fireplace and the sleeping sofa. Available to guests are the sat TV/radio, the dvd reader, the stereo, a collection of books. The kitchen is well organized and equipped. The sleeping room is upstairs with a king bed and an open wardrobe. The roof with the chestnut beams and boards is on view. In the garden available to our guests are the washing machine, garden forniture and the view on the coast and the valley. |

| Beschreibung der Ortes und der Umgebung: | Montignoso is between Versilia and Massa stretching from the top of Monte Carchio to the sand of the coast, crossed by the Pannosa River. You can find a variety of different landscapes from the beaches of Versilia, to the marshes of Porta Lake and finally the mountain landscapes of the Apuan Alps. Montignoso is included in the protected area of Apuan Alps Regional Park. About the origin of its name, it could be linked to the tradition of lighting fires on the mountains in order to make signs to sailor men. From this tradition, the Latin name of Mons Igneus, a mountain of fire. The clear sea waters, the well organized beach resorts, the proximity to Versilia, Garfagnana, Lunigiana and Tuscan cities of art, the touristic airport and the sea port and the Spa of Villa Undulna attract every year numerous tourists from Italy and abroad who decide to spend their holiday in Montignoso. Montignoso is dominated by its Castle, the fortress of Aghinolfi. |
